About the Comic

The Priestwife is a black and white weird fantasy/horror comic about living with things that will kill you.

A man struggling with a terrible curse has sought aid from the enigmatic Tower, resulting in his ritual wedding to the Tower's own High Priest and his initiation as a Knight of the Bell. Now he must escort his sacred spouse across the land in pursuit of problems that only one beloved of the Tower can hope to solve. Whether he's the best choice for this task—or even a good fit for it at all—remains to be seen.

This comic is marked as 18+ on Neocities due to its heavy and often violent, surreal, or otherwise horrifying content. Mature language and situations are present throughout the story. Chronic illness metaphors and the very messy emotions that arise from grappling with one's own mortality are baked directly into the plot.

The reader is trusted to use their best judgment and to put their personal wellness first.

About the Author

Ferro is an artist, writer, and amateur programmer who lives in northern Nevada and enjoys working in monochrome. She prefers to keep to herself.

The Priestwife is a solo effort: save for inspiration for the two main characters, which came about thanks to a prompt from her spouse, she is responsible for the story, scripting, layouts, inks, lettering, designing the typefaces for the lettering, customizing site code, and otherwise wearing many hats.

This comic exists because she was tired of worrying about whether she was skilled enough to make it. Seems to have worked out! Persons interested in helping offset her labor costs are invited to consider her tip jar on Patreon.
